For all Bikers, and stupid Drivers…

Don’t know the original author, but here goes.

I saw you hug your purse closer to you in the grocery store line.
But you didn’t see me put an extra $10.00 in the collection plate last Sunday.

I saw you pull your child closer when we passed each other on the sidewalk.
But you didn’t see me playing Santa at the local mall.

I saw you change your mind about going into the restaurant.
But you didn’t see me attending a meeting to raise more money for the hurricane relief.

I saw you roll up your window and shake your head when I rode by.
But you didn’t see me riding behind you when you flicked your cigarette butt out the car window.

I saw you frown at me when I smiled at your children.
But you didn’t see me when I took time off from work to run toys to the homeless.

I saw you stare at my long hair.
But you didn’t see me and my friends cut ten inches off for Locks of Love.

I saw you roll your eyes at our leather jackets and gloves.
But you didn’t see me and my brothers donate our old ones to those that had none.

I saw you look in fright at my tattoos.
But you didn’t see me cry as my children were born and have their name written over and in my heart.

I saw you change lanes while rushing off to go somewhere.
But you didn’t see me going home to be with my family.

I saw you complain about how loud and noisy our bikes can be.
But you didn’t see me when you were changing the CD and drifted into my lane.

I saw you yelling at your kids in the car.
But you didn’t see me pat my child’s hands knowing he was safe behind me.

I saw you reading the newspaper or map as you drove down the road.
But you didn’t see me squeeze my wife’s leg when she told me to take the next turn.

I saw you race down the road in the rain.
But you didn’t see me get soaked to the skin so my son could have the car to go on his date.

I saw you run the yellow light just to save a few minutes of time.
But you didn’t see me trying to turn right.

I saw you cut me off because you needed to be in the lane I was in.
But you didn’t see me leave the road.

I saw you waiting impatiently for my friends to pass.
But you didn’t see me. I wasn’t there.

I saw you go home to your family.
But you didn’t see me.

Because I died that day you cut me off.

I was just a biker. A person with friends and a family.
But you didn’t see me.

Dear Drivers, don’t be stupid, watch for bikers…

The Saudization of Lebanon

26

Palm trees, palm trees, palm trees; Beirut is full of new palm trees. Tall, ugly poles with a bit of “green” on top, nothing says saudization more than a palm tree…

Everywhere you go in Beirut, you see signs of saudizations just to make our dear Saudis feel right at home. From Rawda cafe banning alcohol (kicking out decades old tradition of artists and leftists gathering there), to the constant increase of saudi-catering-hotels (and by catering I mean, the extra services of bringing prostitutes to our dear tourists).

Do you know the kind of reputation Lebanon has in the Gulf? It’s a place where prostitution is everywhere, where all women can be bought.Saudis come here to fuck and drink! that’s about it! Do they go to Baalbeck? no! do they go to Anjar? no! do they go to see Jeita Grotto?? no!!! They come to spend money in nightclubs, supernight clubs and to fuck women!!!!

Our great tourism reduced to alcohol and prostitution!  Lebanon the jewel of the middle east, the Paris of the east is no more than a fuck-hole for those fat saudis who haven’t worked a single day in their lives, and just happen to be born wealthy, come here to fuck!!!

Lebanon who used to be known as the country of services and tourism, is no longer that! Dubai stole the business away while our dear warlords are fighting between each others! Bahrain stole our F1 circuit while our dear warlords fighting on how to divide the profit, and our greenerie is being torn apart to make way for more nightlife related stuff, which the only sector that is booming and still functionning because its the only sector where saudis spend their money on.No proper communication services, no proper electricity, no proper traffic laws, quality of services is damn low, shopping for anything is damn expensive, electronics are double the price than anywhere else, variety is gone, and my dear dear gymmayzeh became a new monot instead of what used to be a cool, bohemian street…

Just go look at the coast: buildings, buildings, buildings everywhere! Look at the front of the mountains, 5 years ago they were green! now its full of hotels !!!! Wake up damn it!  the money only goes to a tiny portion of the Lebanese society, pubs/nightclubs/hotels owners! Not even car rental companies get money out of them since they get their monsters of SUVS and million dollars cars with them.

We are destroying our culture just to provide for those retards and make them feel at home! NEWS FLASH: Traveling is to see new cultures!

Idiots…

Retards…

For every retard who has been following the same path for the last few decades, following the same people, being blind to every thing happening around them.

For every retard that accepts things as they are, vote for the same people again and again.

For every retard who knows only how to follow, follow a color, follow a retarded criminal leader.

For every retard that ruined Lebanon and made it unbareable to live there.

For every retard who is happy with the way its going in Lebanon and think that there is nothing wrong in this country, and every person who doesn’t like the way it is just weird or worse.

For you dear retards, watch this movie… hopefully it will snatch you out of your retardation…

Lebanese Internet Media

May/09

There are alot of Lebanese websites that I visit daily to get my compulsary updates of Lebanon. I visit several sites from opposing political points of views, just to see what each side has to say, then I try to take what’s common, most probably true, and what is different, which means it needs further looking up into; check inconsistency , holes, and previous news to see if its continuous or fishy.

One thing is common to all Lebanese media sites: visually, THEY SUCK.

They have great graphic designers, but very very very bad web designers and publishers. On most sites you see amazing pictures, banners, logos and what not; but regarding the total design, its crap, its cluttered, its full of advertisements that have nothing to do with what I am reading(meet muslim women from Lebanon as an example while reading some sinister news), flashing pictures, endless pages where I have to scroll down to reach the end, several columns, impossible navigation, and totally crap experience generally.

Its like a metaphor of Lebanon, if you focus on a few parts they are amazing, but as a whole its total crap, nothing works as it should, too chaotic, too flashy, too money oriented.

What is it with Israel and the number 88?

88 Airplanes strikes Gaza the first day, 88 palestenian homes to be demolished in East Jerusalem.

Don’t they have a clue what 88 stands for??

H is the 8th letter of the alphabet, 88 is HH  a number used by neo nazis to say Heil Hilter!

V) Radical Islam

Point Blank; it scares the shit out of me. Radical Islam scares me much much much more than Zionism.Zionism is restricted space wise, even at its worse radical state Zionism is restricted to an Area a few times bigger than the current Israel. On the other hand Radical Islam is not. Its goal is to take over the world, to be the only religion, to kill anyone who isn’t following it(Infidels, Liberals, Homosexuals etc.) . And its spreading at an alarming rate, fuelled by hatred for the west.

Radical Islam is gaining ground in Europe, UK, US, Canada,Australia, India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq and many more nation, in a few decades these countries will have a majority of muslims.I

I do not understand Muslims, they escape radical islamic nations like Saudi, Pakistan and Afghanistan and move to a western country only wanting to criticise the way westerners live,  they isolate themselves into ghettos, they go to their own schools instead of mixing, and they want to transform their new host country into what they escaped from.Too Illogical.

The problem with westerners are either fighting it by violence, or doing nothing because of over political correctness.Westerners back up muslim governments , only their elite become rich and powerful while the rest of the people live in shit holes. They treat moderate muslims like crap, they descriminate against them, in airports they get searched the most, muslim and arabic countries are bombed, exploited and raped constantly in collaboration of the corrupt government; all those conditions create Radical Islam. Uneducation, misery, humiliating, explotation create hatred, create violence, create extremitism and the way to combat it is not by bombing like US, UK and Israel is doing, it would only create more.

Lets take Gaza for example, Hamas are criticised that they are terrorists, that they are radical, that they are murderers. What do they expect from peoplke that  have been bombed for 60 years, their homeland shrank from a wide area into a tiny hole, surrounded by high walls, advanced tanks and discremination. What do they expect from people who have been humiliated for decades, where they have the right to work outside the walls if they have 5 kids or more, if they get their homes taken for days for “strategic” needs.People would turn into religion to save them from the unbearable conditions, they would turn to the darker side of their religon (And all religions have a darker side), they will fight, kill and do what ever it takes to make the occupier the humiliater, feel terror and leave them. At the beginning of the bombing of Gaza, Hamas forces were estimated at 15,000, now I expect every father, uncle, brother who had a little child killed or their home destroyed become part of Hamas, those 15,000 will become 40,000 if not more. That’s how Radicalim spread.

Wanna stop it? treat muslims as human beings, don’t give them charity like if they are the lesser humans, instead help them work themselves, educate them, give them freedom, let their economy bloom and then radicalims will disappear! If that doesn’t happen I foresee lots and lots of wars to come, and frankly I would be on the western side, I do not want to be under muslim law since I would be one of the first people to die, since I atheist.

IV)Zionism : Between Zion and Liberalism

Zionism is dying. The power of Zionism relied on the constant influx of Jews from all over the world, with the will to form their own homeland, around their own sacred sites, away from all the cruel treatment they were getting worldwide. The 5 waves of Aliyahs were all out of need, out of disasters towards Jews: whether its the Polish, the Nazis, the Russians,  or later on the Arabs after the formation of Israel. They all have in common the same feelings, they were angry, afraid, they probably lost everything in the process, and they needed a new place to live. Suddenly they had power, and humans are humans when they get mistreated they mistreat other, they wanted their own place whether they take it by force or other means. They were promised that land, by their god, and by Balfour. The “arabs” only made them stick with each other, to gain power, and they built one of the most powerful nations in the world.

Unlike Christianity and Islam, Jews do not try to convert people to Judaism.  People want to be around people with the same values, same background, same culture.Since the 90s, Jews are coming to Israel for that reason, other than the USA their presence is negligible in the world. The new wave of Jews do not share the same reasons as the people who were before them. They were coming for mainly social reasons, not running away for their lives. They were coming to meet other Jews, to marry other Jews (much bigger choice from their own communities, and Inter-Marriage is a no no since its the death sentence for Judaism since it does not spread usually in another way).Israel became the place to be for Jews, the place where they can meet friends and future partners not a sanctuary from anti-Semitism.Those Jews are Liberal, they have not seen violence ,  they do not have the need to be agressive, they are pacifist and they do not like how the Israeli government work. They are against the settelments, they are with the peace innitiatives, they live generally in Tel-Aviv away from the disputed zones, they are generally young and uncorrupt and they affect other young Jews that are born there, which is seen by the rise in youth refusing to serve in the army, them voting to the left more and more, having more arab friends , and they are the next generation that will take control of israel in a decade or two, striking fear in the extreme right, and hardcore zionist which are trying to do anything to keep zionism alive, by mixing anti-zionism with anti-semitism, making life for palestenians hard , which only results in more fighting , more fear, more hate  and more fundamental Islamism rising which will be explained in part 5.

III)The Failures of Pan-Arabism

Pan-Arabism is dead, no matter what people say. Some people are still clinging to it, calling the Arabs to rise up, calling the Arabs to wake up, but there are no arabs, never was, never will. There are consumers, sitting on their asses collecting the money from the petrol eating, buying cars, and have goats beauty pageants. On the other hands, you got the extremely poor, uneducated, isolated from the world “Arabs” that have no clue other than their local sheikh, priest and gossips while trying to survive amid their corrupt, often criminal leaders.”Arabs” never cared about each other, while would they? they are not the same people, they have nothing in common, they were just forced to be “Arabs” by their leaders.

Pan-Arabism was bound to die the minute it was born, when you have extreme differences between countries, you can never  have a common cause. When you have countries that consider some other country as a friend and a partner, while others regard it as enemy or aiding an enemy (hint: USA), you can never have a common cause. When you have leaders ready to be bribed by riches while leaving their fellow citizens dying, you can never have a common cause.

After the war of 1967, the failure of Arabism was obvious and it was just a matter of time before it dies completely in the 70s, with the Jordanians not joining the war with Syria and Egypt, and Then the Peace agreement between Israel and Egypt.

Then the gap kept widening, the need of a new -ism was obvious, Pan-Islamism was getting stronger…

**Same Disclaimers as Part 1**

II)Societies of Pain, Hate and Fear

How do you make two entities fight forever while you look innocent? Ensure that the two entities you pick have been subjected to misery, pain, humiliation, genocide, famines and discrimination. Promise both Entities the same thing, and let their rage take control of them, killing each other while fueling one side or the other.

The Levant people have been in misery, discrimination, in the ottoman empire for centuries. They have endured famine, they have endured systematic murders by their ruthless rulers, they have been living in fear for so long. They thought that they are getting their freedom when the europeans came in, people were promised autonomy self governance, promises were made to several people with different views for the same area. Some wanted one big Arabia under 1 rule, Some wanted Lebanon and Syria to be as one (syria still thinks lebanon is part of it), Some wanted Lebanon independent.

The Jews in Europe were one of the most mistreated entities since a long time, discremenation, exile, called filthy, beaten, hated, and went through the most horrific genocides. No wonder that Zionism came from there. The need for the Jews to have their own country, is as logical and as deserved as it can be. they were promised the same land that several other promises and dreams were based upon.

So what other than eternal war is expected when you put several frustrated people with different views, different goals and different idologies in the same 80×450 area. The sad funny part, that those same people would live in amazing harmony in one country; they are amazingly adaptive people, either because they have been ruled for ever or they have moving from country to country since ever. Most of them are highly educated, cunning, know how the world work, family oriented, religious but not fundamentalist (not then anyway), sophisticated, know several languages, been in contact with lots of different cultures since the beginning of time, they can’t be classified as eastern, nor western, nor what ever. the perfect allies, but due to those circumstance , illogical enemies.

*The Following post is just my take on middle eastern politics, I am in no way claim that I am really knowledgeable about what’s really going on, I do not claim that what I say is true, I do not claim that because I am Lebanese I need to have a set of pre-set ideas and opinions about certain countries, I do not claim that this is fair, I do not claim that you should take any thing written in this post with more than a pinch of salt. Please if you are a real expert of the region  and its politics and you think what I say is a lot of bullshit, feel free to correct me as long as you try as much as you can be objective. Oh and like usual dear readers, if you don’t like what I say stop reading my blog :) *

**In here I am trying to be as logical as I can be, as objective as I can be (which is probably not very possible since I am Lebanese but will try my best), I will be very critical of religions, very critical of racism, sectarianism, stupidity. I will not be patriotic. I will just try to be human**

I)Invented Races

First things first, just a bold statements that would  piss off most of you just to get rid of unwanted readers, I think the whole middle east borders and countries need to repartitioned, it was partitioned randomly probably by a few drunken people celebrating their victory against the Germans and Ottomans, they didn’t even bother looking at the demographics while drunkenly drew the dotted lines cutting off the ex-Ottoman empire. Or maybe they did and wanted eternal conflict in the region.Second, Arabs and Jews are newly created expanded people for political reason, no I do not mean that Arabs and Jews don’t exist, I am just saying their current form is false. In the current form, Arab “race” includes anyone residing in the dog area(for the people new to this world, the arabic countries put together look like a dog if you squint), and Jewish “race” which describes anyone from Jewish parents (both for orthodox, mother for moderates/reform etc. ).The problem? for political reasons both entities became races.

There isn’t much in common between a Tunisian, an Egyptian, a Lebanese, a Saudi, and a Somali other than the language that we use in our text books that we call Arabic.Genes, Cultures, Food, Habits, Local Languages are different, we have almost nothing in common. For example the Lebanese are much more similar to Greeks in all of these terms than any of the others mentioned above. I am always mistaken for a Greek in Edinburgh, the food is almost identical, the culture is almost a copy, even the languages have some similarities. Could you dare call the Greeks Arabs? How about the Italians?

Same applies to the Jews, how much in common do you see between an Ashkenazis, Shepardic, Mizrahim, African and Chinese jew: Their religion. Different Food, different genes, different culture, different languages. For the people who don’t know the Hebrew language was dead, it was only revived recently with the creation ofIsrael. The Jews were talking in what ever language the country they resided was used.

So why both people were created? POWER. Basically what drives most Elites, and to get power you need sheep, and to get sheep you need to brainwash them and unite them with a cause. Pan-arabism for arabs, and Zionism for Jews; thus our disaster began…

**End of Part 1**

The Motorcyclist

19
Nov/08
0

Waking on Sunday morning, I feel energetic even that I have barely slept 4 hours: I am going for a long day riding and its enough to put a huge smile on my face. I eat my cereals, drink my coffee, take a nice shower, brush my teeth, check my e-mail and that’s where my usual routine stops, I go into the garage wearing only my underwear, open the closet.Thermal base layer, thermal socks, body armour, leathers, gloves, boots and my trusty helmet are all on me.I turn on the ignition, the engine purrs into life sending chills down my spine, almost orgasmic.

I choose a random route, I just have to endure the first half hour until I get out of the city and arrive to the open road.Nothing feels better than the freedom that you feel a motorcycle: maybe its the danger, maybe its the thrill, maybe the skills required to stay upright, I don’t know but I have been obssesed about motorcycles since I was a kid. Lots of people told me not to be crazy, that they are dangerous, but thankfully I didn’t listen to them, or I would be just like every person sitting in a car right now , in their own personal bubbles, isolated from everyone else. They can’t feel the road like I do, smell it, touch it,  or they can’t even perceive why would I pick the weirdest looking roads to ride on,small back roads that seem dangerous, but at the end I always end up somewhere amazing, meet lovely people which wouldn’t be possible if I am sitting in that block of metal.

Some car drivers look down at us motorcyclists, they think we are anti-social, agressive, lawless, lack descipline, and just plain dangerous.Though, from time to time, at an intersection I pull next to a driver, and I feel his sad eyes looking at my ride, scanning it, dreaming about it: an unborn biker. He probably always wanted a bike, but other car drivers kept pressuring him, his parents, his friends:”don’t be a motorcyclist, they are bad, just stay with us, just stay with who you belong with, they are different”.He might have surrendered physically, but his mind will always dream about motorcycles and how it would have been, until the day he dies.

You don’t have to ride a motorcycle to be a motorcyclist, listen only to your heart screw conformity, screw everyone else, its your life do what you want.

This post has been overdue, wanted to write about it for a while , but hey! better late than never :) .

I am really happy that Obama was elected president, for so many reasons, mainly as the new president of the world, he is one of the most approved figures ever.

1)Liberal Americans (all races), think he is one of them.Just by reading what he wants to do make me smile. like for example removing the restrictions over stem cells research, which was held up enough for 8 years by the bush is enough for me.

2)African Americans think he is one of them for obvious reasons.

3)Minorities in the US think he is one of them because he is a miniority.

4) Jews like him

5)Muslims like him because they think he is muslim.

6)Arabs like him

7)Even the most anti USA fractions are now considering some talks with him (Iran, Hamas, etc.)

8)He is charismatic, some guy friend of mine seems to have a crush on him :P . he says he should be a jazz singer or an actor.

9)Syria called him Abu hussein (that’s the funniest thing ever :P )

10)Europeans love him because basically he is not bush.

11) Women love him for many reasons.

On the other hand there are some people with reservations, mainly Americans in the bible belt (because apparently, he is a black(N word) muslim terrorist that will destroy the country), and some Israelis because they think he will be too lenient.

I should talk to him about the pheromone bombs idea, I think he would like it :P .

Humane!

I got a mouse in my flat, my first mouse ever in Edinburgh for 2 years 1 month that I have been living here, which is by Edinburgh standards quiet amazing since I hear people having not just 1 mouse, but whole families of mice that live with them in “harmony”.

So I went to buy some traps, and got impressed by those high frequency noise emitters, after all they are expensive so they have to work! next morning I saw the fucker having a walk next to one.So today I went and bought some humane trap, basicaly its a tube that closes shut when a mouse enters, in the hope of releasing back to the “wild”.

Now the most funny thing, on the intructions paper it says that I should check the traps at least once every 6 hours to avoid distress to any captured mouse; here I was laughing my ass off: avoid distress to a mouse!!!! , that’s just hilarious, correct me if I am wrong, but now in the UK they can withhold a guy for 42 days without any charges what’s so ever…distress to a mouse…give me a fucking break!

Lebanon vs Israel (food wise!)

6
Oct/08
4

We middle eastern just love to fight, and if we don’t fight using  missiles and cluster bombs we find something else to fight about.

I was just reading some hilarious that some Lebanese union wants to sue Israel for stealing Lebanese food and market it as their own , as their own cuisine. At first glance you would think , yeah! in what right they do that?? we should sue their asses! the argument is that we Lebanese have been cooking these dishes for hundreds of years before even israel existed!

And there’s the fucking problem!! Lebanon is 5 years older than israel!!! Syria, Lebanon, Israel, Palestine have been more or less counted as one unit for thousand of years! the Levant! we have the same food, the same culture, the same habits, and if you really want to dig it up, almost the same language etymology wise. What we cook, is that what all those newly found countries cook! the difference is a bit of extra salt here, a bit less of pepper there, one ingredient more or less just to reflect a certain area, I mean even in Lebanon kebbeh of the north is different than kebbeh of the south! the only truly dish that came 100% from the current lebanese with its current borders is the tabouleh! I am not sure about the baba ghanooj. But humus , falafel, shawarma, sheesh tawoo2 etc. are not a Lebanese invention! its something from the whole area!!!!

But hey at least we make them the best, and no body can deny that!
